Description
No. 22 Hope Street is a house located at the end of a row, dating from the early 19th century, possibly incorporating earlier elements. The exterior is rendered and features a slate roof. The building has a gabled front range with a part parallel range and a lower wing on the left side. The ground floor includes a 2-light casement window with a transom above a wide 16-pane sash window and a 4-pane sash window, the latter replacing the original door location. To the left, in the one-storey wing, there is a 20th-century door, followed by a quadrant that leads to a set-back range with a 12-pane sash window set in a moulded architrave. There are chimney stacks on the gables to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
