Description

These are a pair of early 19th-century houses located on Hope Street in Weymouth. The exterior is of coursed stone, finished with a thin render coat, and topped with a low-pitched slate roof. The houses are three storeys high. At the eaves level, there are small four-pane sashes in the outer bays, with two close-set sashes in the centre. Below, two-storey flat bows feature 16-pane sashes and solid cheeks. A blind window is positioned above three arched doorways, the central one leading to a throughway, all with 20th-century doors. A stack is situated on each gable. These houses are set back from the adjoining buildings along Nothe Parade. The throughway is flanked on each side by light timber-framed partitions with brick infill. The interior remains uninspected.
