Description
15 and 16 Nothe Parade are a pair of houses located at the end of a row, built in the early 19th century. They feature a rendered exterior and a slate mansard roof, standing two storeys tall with an attic. Each house has one window on the ground floor and one on the first floor. Above the four-pane sash windows, there is a small raking dormer, while No. 15 has a distinctive first-floor bowed oriel window with an arrangement of eight, twelve, and eight panes. Each house has an arched doorway with a fanlight above; the fanlight in No. 16 is painted over. No. 15 boasts a well-preserved six-panel door, while No. 16 has a 20th-century door. A ridge stack is located to the right of each house. The interior has not been inspected. This pair may have been constructed as part of a group with No. 14, although the mansard roof has been lowered to a standard eaves height. The right side of No. 16 steps back to align with the adjoining house at the end of Hope Street.
