Description

No. 127 Wakeham is a house located at the end of a row, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared small stone and has an asbestos-cement slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features one window. The windows are 20th-century casements set beneath voussoirs, and there is a 20th-century door located in a flat-roofed 20th-century porch. A flush cill band with horizontal tooling is present on the first floor, and there is a raised verge on the rendered gable to the left and a rendered stack to the right. Although much of the house has been modified in the 20th century, it remains an important part of a significant group of buildings in this broad street.
