Description
A pair of houses in a row, dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, located in Wakeham, Easton. The houses are rendered and have slate roofs. They are two storeys and have an attic, with a 1+1-window arrangement. The central dormer is flush-hipped and contains a pair of sash windows, with sashes lacking bars to both the ground and first floors. Stone-faced porches are centrally positioned, sheltering 20th-century doors and covered by roofs of weathered slabs. A stone gutter and brick stacks are present, along with raised verges. The rear roof sweeps down, and a lean-to of ashlar construction extends from the rear of number 131. These are characteristic, modest Island cottages, and represent a group of "typical small terraced houses" set back from a broad street.
