Description
This is a late 18th-century table-tomb located 15 metres south-east of the chancel of the Church of St Mary in Frampton. It is made of stone and features reeded panels on the long sides, topped with a large lozenge tablet. The tomb has a hipped top block with reeded sides and a projecting cornice. The south side displays an inscription on the tablet that reads: "Sacred to the memory of William Frowd, third son of Edward Froud Esqre of Brixton Deverill in the County of Wilts. He died at Beaminster November 20th 1798 in the 52nd year of his Age." Additionally, there is a flaming urn carved on both ends of the tomb, while the inscription on the north side is overgrown.
