Description
Flint Cottage and Moss Cottage are paired estate cottages built in the mid-19th century. They feature banded flint and stone walls, with stone quoins and brick quoins at the rear. The cottages have slate roofs and large projecting stacks on the end walls, which have set-offs and end in coupled brick stacks. The design is H-shaped, with two cross wing gables at the front and a total of 1½ storeys and 4 bays. The windows include 3-light hollow-chamfered stone mullions with bowtells, each with separate labels and stone cills. Above the front doors, there are single light windows with iron and metal casements that have leaded lights. The two front doors are located at the center under a pentice slate roof that is gabled, barge-boarded, and finialed at the center. Both doors are plank-style and were added in the 20th century.
