Description
No. 22 Dorchester Road is a detached house that was formerly two cottages, dating from the late 18th century. The building features flint rubble and dressed stone walls, with brick quoins and dressings, and a slightly projecting plinth. It has a thatched roof that is hipped at both ends and extends over the outbuildings. There are two brick stacks, each located at the apex of a hip. The house is 1½ storeys high and has three windows on the front. The ground floor has three-light wooden casements, which are from the 20th century, while the first floor features two-, four-, and two-light windows. The front door is centrally located and has a glazed upper half, also from the 20th century, with brick jambs. Above the door, there is a thatch porch canopy supported by wooden posts.
