Description
No. 43 Thorncote Road is a house that was formerly a pair of cottages, dating from the 18th century. It features a timber-framed construction with a colourwashed roughcast rendered exterior and a half-hipped thatched roof. The building has a two-room plan and is one storey with attics, oriented with the gable end facing the road. The road-facing gable has one two-light casement window on each floor, while the south elevation has two two-light casement windows. All windows are 20th-century replacements with glazing bars. There is a red brick double ridge stack, which has been raised in the 20th century. The original front doors have been blocked, and access is now through a 20th-century one-storey and attic block to the north.
