Description

This is a row of four cottages located on Thorncote Road. They were built in the 18th century. The cottages are timber-framed, with some areas using colourwashed brick and others colourwashed rendered infill. They have thatched roofs. The overall layout comprises eight rooms. The cottages are one storey high, with attics, and have eight ground-floor windows and six eyebrow dormers. The windows are a mixture of two-light casements. The front doors vary in style. Number 5 has a 20th-century lean-to porch. The chimneys consist of two red brick double ridge stacks and two red brick gable end stacks.
