Description
Well Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century. It has a substantial timber frame and a colourwashed roughcast exterior, topped with a thatched roof. The building features a two-room plan, is one storey high with attics, and has a later one-storey and attic addition on the north gable end, along with an outshot on the west elevation.
On the east elevation, the ground floor has two 2-light casements with leaded lights on the left side and a 20th-century hipped thatched addition on the right. The attic includes two eyebrow dormers, each with 2-light casements that have glazing bars. There is a red brick double ridge stack. The north block has one 2-light casement on each floor and an integral brick stack on the north gable end. The main entrance is located through the 20th-century addition on the west elevation.
