Description
Nos. 39 and 41, known as The Pippins, are a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century, originally part of a row of three. They are timber framed, with No. 41 featuring colourwashed rendered infill and No. 39 covered in colourwashed roughcast render. The cottages have a thatched roof and a five-room plan, with one storey and attics. There are five 2-light casement windows on the ground floor and five eyebrow dormers, each with 2-light casements. The windows date from the 19th and 20th centuries. No. 41 has an off-centre plain door, while No. 39 has two part-glazed doors. The cottages feature two red brick ridge stacks, with the one on No. 39 being double. Additionally, No. 39 has 20th-century additions to its south gable.
