Description

The Workman Monument is a pedestal tomb located about 8 meters southeast of the south porch in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Frampton-on-Severn. It commemorates the Workman family, with the earliest date being 1792. The monument is made of limestone and features a concave pyramidal cap topped with a plain finial and a reeded edge. It has a tall plain plinth sitting on a large square base that was formerly railed. The corners of the monument are adorned with reeded columns, and all sides are recessed between the columns, showcasing large plain raised ovals with reliefs of draped palm leaves.
