Description

This is a chest tomb located immediately north of the northeast chapel buttress in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Frampton-on-Severn. It dates from 1771 and is made of limestone. The tomb features a flat top, a moulded plinth, and capping adorned with egg and dart moulding. The corners are indented, and the ends have a half-lyre profile, with relief carvings of two cherubs' heads on the west side and skulls on the east side. The sides are designed with tombstone-shaped panels that have carved relief surrounds.
