Description

The Buckingham Monument is a chest tomb located about 5 meters southwest of the south porch in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Frampton-on-Severn. This tomb, belonging to the Buckingham family, dates from the early 18th century and is made of limestone. It features a flat top with moulded capping and lacks a visible plinth. The sides have recessed rectangular panels, while the ends have fielded square panels. At the time of the survey in December 1985, the south side was very overgrown.
