Description
FRAMPTON-ON-SEVERN CHURCH END SO 7406-7506 11/105 Two Winchcombe Monuments, about 6m south of south porch in churchyard of Church of St. Mary the Virgin GV II Two chest tombs. To north, Henry Winchcombe 1723; to south, ------- Winchcombe 1766. Limestone. Both flat tops, moulded. plinth and capping, set together on very large base. To north: plain recessed side panels, shield to east end, urn and drapery to west end. To south: gadrooned quarter baluster corners, bellied panels to ends and sides, the whole surrounded with high relief carving.
