Description
There are two chest tombs located 5 yards to the south-east of the chancel of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. These tombs date from the late 18th century and are made of ashlar stone with panelled sides and a cornice, as noted by Witts in 1792. The southernmost tomb features a bowed end. Together, these chest tombs represent a fine collection of classical and local burial styles and significantly enhance the church's setting.
