Description

There are two chest tombs located to the south of the south aisle of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. These tombs date from the late 18th century and are made of ashlar stone. They feature panelled sides with a cornice. The northernmost tomb has balusters, bowed ends, and decorative carving. Together, these chest tombs represent a fine collection of classical and local tomb styles, significantly enhancing the church's setting.
