Description
This is a group of three chest tombs located to the west of the south porch of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. They date from the late 18th century and early 19th century. The tombs are made of ashlar stone and feature panelled sides, a cornice, and corner balusters. They are associated with individuals named Cooper from 1792 and 1822. This collection of chest tombs represents a good example of classical and local tomb styles and significantly enhances the setting of the church.
