Description

This chest tomb, located 5 yards to the northeast of the chancel of the Church of St Mary the Virgin, dates from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar and features panelled sides, a cornice, and corner balusters. The chest tombs in this area represent a fine collection of classical and local tomb styles, significantly enhancing the setting of the church.
