Description

FRAMPTON-ON-SEVERN CHURCH END SO 7406-7506 11/95 Gardner and Unidentified Monument, about 9m north east of Jennings Monument in churchyard of Church of St. Mary the Virgin GV II Two chest tombs. To north, unidentified of late C17/early C18; to south, Edward Gardner 1715. Limestone. To north: Flat top, splayed capping, no plinth visible, slab sides and ends, with plain ovals inset into sides. Gardner: flat top, moulded plinth and capping on base, quarter baluster corners. Large moulded rectangular panels to sides, incised lozenges to ends. Partially overgrown at time of survey (December 1985).
