Description
There are two chest tombs located in the churchyard about 19 metres south of the nave of the Church of St Mary. These tombs date from the late 18th century and are made of limestone. The northern tomb features two fielded panels and a central panel with carved foliage, along with quarter balusters and a fluted frieze on its moulded flat top. The southern tomb has three fielded panels on its main sides, fielded end panels, a cornice, and a pulvinated frieze on its moulded flat top. It also has a partly illegible inscription dedicated to a member of the Dark family, likely from the mid-18th century.
