Description
There are two chest tombs located in the churchyard, between 11 and 13 meters north of the tower of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. These tombs date from the early to mid 18th century and are made of limestone. The larger tomb to the north features two oval fielded panels adorned with richly-carved scrolled decoration and an ogee-moulded flat top, although the inscription is illegible. The tomb to the south has two fielded panels, fluted pilasters, and a moulded cornice leading to an ogee-moulded flat top, with a partly illegible inscription that includes the date 1740.
