Description

The gate piers and gates at the south entrance to the churchyard of the Church of St Mary are likely from the early 19th century. They feature octagonal limestone piers adorned with cusped panels, and have moulded plinths and cappings that support a brattished top. Above the gates, there is a cast-iron overthrow that includes a lamp holder. The double gates, also made of cast iron, are designed with spear-headed dogbars at the top.
