Description
The front walls and gate piers at The Manor House are likely from the late 17th century. They are constructed of Flemish bond brick set on a rubble stone plinth, topped with weathered stone coping that sweeps to the sides and the gate piers. The central gate piers are made of rusticated limestone and feature moulded cappings with large scalloped ball finials. Volutes extend from the top of the wall against the piers. There are wooden double gates that lead up from the outer drive, which is accessed by semi-circular stone steps. Additionally, there is a five-step rubble stone double-sided mounting block located against the right-hand part of the wall.
