Description
No 6 on Broad Street is a late 16th to 17th century timber-framed building with a slate roof and a colorwashed front. The north side has three storeys and features an overhang on the second floor. There are two 2-light casement windows on the second floor, and a small 3-light splayed bay window on the first floor, which has a 19th-century shop window beneath it on the ground floor. To the right of this, there is a half-glazed door with studs, and at the far right, a single-light leaded window. The south side of No 6 has two storeys and two window bays. The first floor has sashes with glazing bars, and to the left on the ground floor, there are more sashes, while the right side features a splayed bay window. The central doorway has a moulded frame and a glazed door. This building is part of a group that includes the Bell Cliff Retaining Wall and Railings, as well as Nos 4 to 10 (consecutive) and 10A Broad Street.
