- Said to have been built in 1651. 2 storeys, thatched. Painted brick with projecting plinth. On 1st floor to centre and left are wide spaced studs. No 37: 4 two-light glazing bar casements on 1st floor. Ground floor has small buttress to left and 2 shop windows; left hand mid C19 with flanking pilasters and cornice; right hand a modern 4-light bow; central door. A further window to right, next to blocked doorway, a tripartite glazing bar sash with shutters. Interior on ground floor opened up as shop. Catslide lean-to at rear. No 39: front altered, platband, 1st floor slighly raised with overlapped eaves courses. 3 windows on 1st floor, 2 on ground floor, glazing bar 2-light casements, shutters ground floor. Door to left with 6 flush panels (upper 2 glazed) and ball and dolphin knocker. 1 ridge and 3 off-ridge chimneys, timber framed north-west gable with weatherboarded tip. 'L' plan with former cloth-weavers' shed to rear. Interior front room on ground floor has exposed inglenook and Jacobean panelling (removed from No 20 West Street).
