Description

The quadrant walls at the entrance of the former Church of England School date from around the 1870s. They are wide and not perfectly aligned with the Parish Church. Constructed from yellow and red brick, the walls feature stone piers and a brick pierced parapet. The piers are banded and have moulded capping. In the center, there are panelled gatepiers with plain caps, which are connected by a moulded panel section to ball-capped piers that flank the gates. There is a slight return to the west.
