Description
Winton Cottage is an attached cottage with a core dating back to the 17th century, featuring alterations from the 18th and 19th centuries. It has dressed stone walls and a clay tile roof, with stone and brick stacks at both the left and right gables. The cottage is one and a half storeys high and has three windows, including a three-light stone mullion window with a moulded surround and lead lights. There is a continuous string course that is interrupted by the front door, which is raised above the ground and accessed by two steps. The wooden front door has recessed panels and two leaded top-lights above it, all topped with a wooden lintel. The first floor features three half-dormers, each with 19th-century casements that have two lights and glazing bars, along with wooden lintels and barge boards.
