Description

This is an early to mid-19th century row of terraced houses located on Layton Lane. The row comprises numbers 16 to 20. It is three storeys high, with varying numbers of window bays: three bays to number 16, two bays to number 18, and three bays to number 20. The buildings have a slate gabled roof and brick stacks. The front facade is constructed of rough ashlar. Some windows retain their original glazing bars, specifically in numbers 18 and 20. Number 16 has modern windows on the ground floor and a modern porch. A veranda supported by trellised iron columns extends across the fronts of numbers 18 and 20. Number 18 features a six-panelled door within a frame, centrally positioned.
