Description

This is a mid-19th century terrace of houses located on Grosvenor Place. The terrace comprises numbers 118 to 128 (even). The buildings are three storeys high with a basement, and are constructed of stock brick, with some portions of number 20 covered in pebbledash and painted. The terrace has stone coping with moulded eaves cornices to numbers 126 and 128. Each house features one sash window and one three-light canted bay, and most of the original glazing bars are missing. The doorcases are simple, round-headed, and include fanlights. Number 128 has a portico with a cornice, two Greek Doric fluted columns, and two fluted pilasters. Numbers 118 to 124 retain their original area railings, which are topped with urn finials. Numbers 106 to 128 (even) are grouped together for their architectural character.
