Description

This is a pair of shops, likely originally a single house, dating from the 17th century. The walls are roughcast, topped by a hipped thatched roof, with a central brick stack. The Post Office has a 20th-century shop front with a panelled door. Above, there are two double-hung sash windows with central glazing bars. Number 85 features a central part-glazed door and two 20th-century shop windows at street level. The first floor has two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The building is identified as Monument 4 in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments inventory.
