Description
This is an 18th-century detached cottage located on the north side of West Street in Bere Regis. The building is constructed of brick with a dentil cornice, and has a hipped tiled roof with stone eaves courses and a brick stack at the rear. It follows an L-shaped plan.
The front elevation has two canted bay windows on the ground floor, each covered by a continuous slate pentice roof, with double-hung sash windows. The first floor features two double-hung sash windows. An entrance is situated at the rear of the property. A two-storeyed brick rear wing and a single-storey brick lean-to extension are also present, both with tiled roofs. The cottage is documented in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments as Monument 2.
