Description

The Old School House is an early 18th-century building, originally a school founded in 1719. It is now a house. The building is constructed of brick with a plat band at first-floor level, and has a slate roof with a brick centre stack. It is two storeys high. A porch with a gabled slate roof contains a round-headed doorway with a panelled door. On the ground floor are one double-hung sash window and one 20th-century casement window. The first floor has three double-hung sash windows. The building is included in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments as Monument 29.
