1, Church Street

No 1 Church Street is an attached house and storehouse dating from the early 19th century. It features lias rubble walls with dressed stone quoins and brick window dressings. The slate roof has gable ends and there are brick stacks at both the left and right gables. The building stands three storeys tall and includes cellars. There are two sash windows with glazing bars, wooden cills, and segmental brick arch-heads. A canted oriel window is located on the first floor to the right, with glazing bars throughout. The top storey windows are blocked.

Access to the cellar is via a door leading to the lane, which has double doors with a segmental brick head. The front door is situated on the left end wall and is reached by six steps. This door features three recessed panels, panelled reveals, and a moulded architrave. The storehouse at the right end has rubble stone walls and a corrugated asbestos roof, with stone gable coping on the right side. It has very large double doors leading to the lane, set three feet above the pavement, made of planks with strap hinges, and a pitch door at the top right.
