Description

No. 8 Church Street is an attached house dating from the late 18th century. It features red brick walls laid in Flemish bond on a stone plinth, with a simple dentil cornice. The roof is covered with asbestos slate and has gable ends, while a renewed brick stack is located at the left-hand gable. The house has two storeys and originally had three windows, but now has two. The upper floor windows are sashes with glazing bars, while the lower floor features later 19th-century sashes. The upper centre window is blocked, and the front door, which is located to the right of centre, is a plank door with a top light above.
