Description
No. 12 Church Street is an attached cottage dating from the mid-18th century. It features red brick walls in Flemish bond set on a stone plinth, with a dogtooth brick cornice. The roof is made of patent tiles and has one brick chimney stack at the right gable end. The cottage is two storeys high and has two windows, which are sash windows with glazing bars and wide flush frames. The windows have projecting keystones that are painted white, and the gauged brick voussoirs above them add to the architectural detail. On the ground floor, there is a canted bay window with two sashes and glazing bars facing the front. The front door is located on the left side and features a segmental brick head, with a wooden, panelled design.
