Description
The building is a bank, constructed in 1872. It is built of ashlar stone with rusticated quoins and a string course. A machicolated cornice tops the building, and it has a slate roof with stone gable copings. Tall stone stacks with moulded cornices are present at the left and right gables. The building is three storeys high, with three windows. On the ground floor, there are coupled pointed window openings framed by pilasters with naturalistic foliage capitals. The surround features an incised foliage motif, and the windows are round-headed sashes. The first floor has coupled segmental-headed window openings with a continuous label above. A central division features a spiral colmette with crocket capitals. The second floor has three single sashes with square heads, set within stop-chamfered roll surrounds. The central doorway, leading to the bank, has pilaster stone framing with capitals, a pointed head, and incised foliage, with the word "Bank" inscribed. The door itself is a 6-panelled door, dating to the 20th century.
