Description

No. 2 Abbey Street is an attached house dating from the late 18th century. It features brick walls laid in Flemish bond on a dressed stone plinth, with a brick plat band. The roof is covered with clay tiles and has stone slabs at the eaves, along with stone gable-coping on the right side. There is a brick stack on the left gable. The house is two storeys high with dormers and has four sash windows with thin glazing bars and stone cills, featuring gauged brick voussoirs. The dormers have two 20th-century two-light casements. The front door, located on the right side, has flush and recessed panels with three top lights and dates from the late 19th century. There is another door to the right of this, which is flush panelled and framed.
