Description
No. 36 High Street is a house dating from the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of brick laid in Flemish bond and features a gabled roof covered with old tiles, along with a brick stack at the rear of the ridge. It has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a two-window range.
The exterior includes a plat band above the ground floor and a top dentilled brick cornice. The entrance, located to the left of centre, features an early 20th-century door with three leaded lights above three enriched panels. The large windows are fitted with 20th-century three-light small-paned casements. There is also a return with a window that has a nine-pane sash, and at the rear, there is a 20th-century two-storey flat-roofed wing. The interior has not been inspected.
