Description

Three houses on Henley-in-Arden’s High Street date largely to the 17th century, with a later 18th-century addition and significant renovations in the late 20th century. They are timber-framed with plaster infill and a brick plinth; one section is entirely brick. The roofs are gabled and covered in old tiles. The houses have a three-unit plan, with the left-hand section a brick addition.

The exterior is two storeys and an attic. Doors and windows are modern replacements. The timber-framed section has a pair of entrances under a hipped pentice, incorporating plank doors and a canted bay window to the right. A large window sits to the left. The brick section features an entrance with a plank door and a canted bay window, both also under a hipped pentice. The first floor has three dormers with two-light casements. The timber-framed section has storey-height panels. The interior was not inspected. No.40 was separately listed on 2nd August 1972.
