Greenhill Court (Flats) And Premises Of Ffooks, Bartlett And Co.

Greenhill Court, which includes flats and the premises of Ffooks, Bartlett and Co., is a Grade II listed building dating from 1843. It consists of three three-storey terrace houses that are uniform in design and are located next to No 4 Greenhill Court. This site was previously occupied by the 15th-century New Inn of Abbot Ramsam. The buildings have a slightly higher elevation and feature two window bays each. The pilasters are decorated with incised line ornament and recessed circle decoration at the caps. The house on the right has altered glazing bars and a plain architrave at the doorway, while the other two houses display engaged Tuscan columns and pediments. The doorways have friezes with recessed circle ornament and oval medallions in the tympanum. Nos 1 and 2 Greenhill Court are the two houses on the right, which have been converted into flats. The listed buildings on the north side of Greenhill, from Newell Cottage to Belmont, and on the south side from Delta to the premises occupied by Godden and Curtis, form a cohesive group.
