Description
Cumberland House is a building located on the north side of Greenhill, dating from around 1625. It features a roughcast front with details from the late 18th century to early 19th century, suggesting it may have an earlier core. The structure has two window bays and is two storeys high with an attic. It includes two box dormers with segmental heads and old three-light metal casements. The building is characterized by chamfered quoins and a plinth, although the sash windows have been altered. The early 19th-century door architrave has panelled reveals, and a modern glazed door has replaced the original six-panelled door. Cumberland House is part of a group of listed buildings on the north side of Greenhill, extending from Newell Cottage to Belmont, and on the south side from Delta to the premises occupied by Godden and Curtis.
