Description
Gable House is a building from the 18th century or earlier, located on the south side of Greenhill. It has a stucco front with two windows, is two storeys tall with an attic, and features a plaintile gabled roof. The parapet includes a small gable with a finial at the center, and there is an attic window partly set within the gable. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, have been altered. On the ground floor to the right, there is a small shop window that is three panes wide and two panes deep, complete with a fascia and a moulded cornice. The central doorway is topped with a pedimented hood supported by moulded brackets. Gable House is part of a group of listed buildings that includes all the properties on the north side of Greenhill from Newell Cottage to Belmont, and on the south side from Delta to the premises occupied by Godden and Curtis.
