Description
Cobblers is a 17th-century L-shaped, two-storey house located on the north side of Greenhill. It has roughcast cladding and a stone slate roof. The house features one window bay facing the road, with sash windows that are three panes wide. On the east-facing return wall, there are two sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance is located in the narrow south-facing wall at the rear, which has an early 19th-century doorcase with a moulded architrave and diagonal enrichment on the frieze. Above the door, there is a sash window with intact glazing bars. Cobblers was formerly listed as Monica and is part of a group of listed buildings on the north side of Greenhill, extending from Newell Cottage to Belmont, and on the south side from Delta to the premises occupied by Godden and Curtis.
