Description
Downside is a two-storey, one-bay building with a stone front dating to the late 18th or early 19th century, although it likely incorporates an earlier structure. It has a pantile roof. The ground floor features a good three-light bowed sash window with pilaster strips separating the lights. A battened door is set within a boxed hood. The building forms part of a group of listed buildings on both the north and south sides of Greenhill, extending from Newell Cottage to Belmont on the north side, and from Delta to the premises occupied by Godden and Curtis on the south side.
