Description
Ramsam House is a late 18th century to early to mid 19th century building located on the north side of Greenhill. It is three stories tall with a five-window front, which has recently been roughcast. The building features chamfered stone quoins, a moulded coping to the parapet, a stringcourse, and a stone plinth. The windows are sash style. A notable feature is the late Georgian doorcase, which includes fluted Tuscan pilasters and an entablature, panelled spandrels, a fanlight, and a flush panelled door with the top four panels cut away and glazed. Ramsam House is part of a group of listed buildings on the north side of Greenhill, extending from Newell Cottage to Belmont, and on the south side from Delta to the premises occupied by Godden and Curtis.
