Description
Keeper's Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the 18th century, with possibly an earlier core. It features rubble-stone walls and stone quoins, topped by a thatched roof with gable ends and rendered brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and has two windows, which are two- and three-light wooden casements with glazing bars, wooden cills, and concrete lintels. The entrance includes a plank door with a glass light in the center, sheltered by a rendered porch with a gabled slate roof.
At the north end of the cottage, there is an outbuilding that has rubble-stone walls and a half-hipped thatched roof. This outbuilding has a two-light cast-iron casement with glazing bars on the gable end and a three-light 20th-century casement on the south wall. At the rear of the cottage, there is an outshut featuring an original catslide thatched roof. Note that the 20th-century extension at the east end of the cottage is not listed.
