Description

Pear Tree Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the mid-18th century. It features rubble-stone and brick walls on the south side, topped with a thatch roof that has gable ends. There are brick stacks at each gable. The cottage is two storeys high and has two windows on the ground floor, which are three-light wooden casements, while above are 20th-century two-light casements. Segmental brick arches made of red bricks and burnt headers are present over the windows. The front door, located on the south wall, is a 19th-century plank door with a hipped thatch porch supported by wooden posts.
