Description
Old Rectory Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the 18th century. It features rubble-stone and chalk block walls, topped with a slate roof that has gable ends. There is a brick stack on the left-hand gable. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows: four-light casements on the ground floor and three-light casements above, all with cast-iron casements that include lead lights and wooden frames. The windows have wooden cills and are supported by iron tension-bars, with segmental brick arches above them. The front door, located centrally on the ground floor, is flush-panelled with rib-panelled detailing above, framed with moulded wood from the 19th century. Additionally, there are two sleeper buttresses on the south end wall.
